Welcome to Arundel House

Arundel House is the headquarters of the International Institute for Strategic Studies, the world's leading authority on political-military conflict. Arundel House was built in the nineteenth century by the Duke of Norfolk and was acquired by the IISS in1997 as the Institute outgrew its Covent Garden premises. In 1999 work began to lift the roof to add a new floor and to entirely refurbish the rest of the building. The Institute moved into the building in early 2000.

The refurbishment took into account the need to have conference space for the use of both the IISS and outside users. The entire top floor comprises a multi-functional conference room with views over the river, equipped with sophisticated audio-visual equipment. There is further rooms on the fourth floor, suitable for smaller meetings and conferences and again on the first floor. The Television Studio and the Situation Room are located together in the basement.

The conference furniture in Arundel House was designed for the building and complements the surroundings. There is plenty of furniture to suit every occasion.

Arundel House also holds a licence for weddings and is a wonderful space to host that special day.
